1. The New Manager
Gordon Brittas arrives for his first day's work as manager of the recently built Whitbury New Town Leisure Centre. Things don't get off to a flying start, however, as on the first morning, he causes a strike amongst the builders and upsets everyone on the staff.
2. Opening Day
It's opening day at the Center and everything is broken. The automatic doors keep malfunctioning, the central heating can't be turned off, and the pool has a leak. Brittas intervenes. Now the automatic doors won't open and the whole center is like a hothouse. On top of all this, the crazy old janitor has completely flooded the boiler room. Will the entire staff faint before they can escape? And is there any way to stop Colin from shaking hands with the Duchess of Kent?
3. Underwater Wedding
An underwater wedding is held in the main pool, and the best man ends up stuck to the drain hole on the bottom. An intoxicated Senior citizen in an electric wheelchair speeds through the corridors. Gavin gets shot through the arm with a harpoon. And the Center is filled with poison gas. Just another typical day at the center.
4. Stop Thief
The Center is closed because Mr. Brittas is intent on finding out which of the staff has been stealing things. So it's out with the questionnaires. When this fails, Brittas sets a trap laced with ultraviolet sensitive powder; when the black-light is swept over everybody, Brittas is the only one found with powder on his hands! Finally, the ultimate solution! Colin is hid in a locker to spy on the staff room, and bait is placed on the table.
5. Bye-Bye Baby
Helen is having problems as a new doctor will not give her a repeat prescription of anti-depressants. The Doctor suggests he meets Brittas to see just what is causing her depression. On meeting him he decides at once to give her the tablets and takes a few himself. Meanwhile Brittas discovers that Carole has been keeping her baby in a desk drawer, and in the subsequent removal, the baby gets lost. Carole thinks that Brittas has taken her baby, and goes berserk with an ax. Brittas also manages to delay dozens of customers at the main reception desk and disrupt a relaxation seminar while he's at it.
6. The Assassin
Brittas has designed some ridiculously complicated special offers to help lift attendance figures. But he may not be in attendance much longer himself. Someone is out there trying to kill him. Now who would want to do a thing like that?
