1. Back From The Dead
Mrs Brittas informs the Centre that her husband's been crushed to death in a Bulgarian car factory. Suddenly the Centre is busy and business is booming while Helen Brittas happily plans to remarry. Brittas returns, however, causing a slight mis-understanding; Colin thinks that Brittas has left the spiritual plane and is looking for a vehicle in which to re-enter the physical world - sending Carol into a frenzy to rescue her babies soul.
2. Temple Of The Body
Brittas thinks hanky panky has been going on in the Centre and is determined to find the culprits. Carole is pregnant again. The father is a mystery after an incident at Julie's New Year Fancy-dress party which leads to a case of mistaken identity.
3. An Inspector Calls
The Center is due for an inspection by the most feared Government inspector in Southern England. Despite Brittas' meticulous preparations, an incontinent pigeon gets into the gymnasium. Brittas hastily hires an Eagle trainer to try and solve the problem. It's also Helen's birthday, and she's rather upset that Gordon has given her a moped. She's thinking of leaving him. And it looks like he may lose his job as well.
4. Concrete
Brittas is stuck in his office. His feet have been set in concrete by angry masons. This and other similar occurrences have convinced Brittas that the Center is suffering from Sick Building Syndrome. Brittas calls in a specialist, but strangely enough he can't find anything wrong with the building.
5. Safety First
The center is having a fire drill, Brittas style. And since they suffered 82 percent casualities, they're doing it again. Helen is trying to give up her pills, hoping to replace them with a more loving relationship. So she's prepared a picnic lunch to have with Gordon in his office. But she starts to become angered when Gordon becomes continually delayed dealing with other things. Not the least of which is trying to convince Councilor Dapping to install a better fire escape. She refuses, but after a fire breaks out, she changes her mind!
6. Mums And Dads
Brittas' father has come to drop off an old upright piano for Gordon. This is only the first of two pianos, the other being a concert grand for use by a Russian Composer for a recital at the Center that evening. Can the Composer keep his fingers intact until the evening? And can anyone stop Brittas from playing the piano?
7. Generations
A farmer has stopped in the Leisure Center parking lot to change a tire. His pregnant cow manages to snack on some labor inducing figwort, actually meant for the pregnant Carole. The cow begins to give birth in a squash court, aided by a Gynecologist. And Carole gives birth in the sauna room helped by a Veterinarian.
