SEASON THREE
3- 1 In Search of... Martin
Part two of a
season cliff hanger. Martin has disappeared, and Gina goes looking for
him. Martin has joined a bizzare religious cult, and he's living in their
Monastary.
3- 2 Martin Returns
It turns out that
the cult leader is a sado-masochist psycho, just after Martin's body. Martin
escapes from the Monastary and returns to Detroit. But he discovers that
his apartment has been redecorated. And Gina has new plans for their relationship.

I've Got Work to Do
Martin hits the
streets looking for a good job. But instead, he gets hired at a series
of rotten part-time positions.

Martin Gets Paid
With the help
of Gina, Martin finally finds a good job. She gets him an interview at
a TV station. But he has less than 24 hours to come up with an audition
tape. He comes through by making an impromptu tape in his living room,
but he insults all his friends by casting them as derelicts and low-lifes.
3- 5
Break Up to Make Up
Martin feels Gina
and his relationship is becoming more distant. To remedy this he tries
to spend more time with her. But she has a big presentation to do and needs
to be alone to work. Martin then convinces Pam to get Gina over to his
apartment that night. Martin thinks Gina is not coming, then she comes
in the apartment while he is not looking. They sing Fire and Desire
together.
3- 6 The
Closer I Get to You
Martin's advice to Tommy on women backfires.

Movin' on In
Martin and Gina
finally decide to move in together. However, the apartment gets rather
crowded when all of Gina's belongings get there. The two clash on what
to keep, and they end up with two of everything. In the end they compromise
on what to keep and what to give away to charity.

Momma's Baby, Martin's Maybe
Martin's efforts
to impress Gina's mom, his future mother-in-law, go astray when a young
boy shows up, claiming to be Martin's long lost son.

Whole Lotto Trouble
Martin wins the
Michigan State lottery. He celebrates by going out and buying tons of expensive
luxury items. But then he finds out that the winning ticket is a tie, and
must be split - 10,000 ways!

Get a Job
Martin and Gina
attempt to discover Tommy's mysterious job occupation. So they stake him
out. Finally, they discover him on the runway at an uptown strip club!
So is this what Tommy does for a living? Could it be?

Feast or Famine
Thanksgiving dinner
ends up a battle of the sexes when the gang holds a contest to see which
gender cooks the better bird.

Lockin' Boots
Gina and Martin
agree to save money. But then Gina is forced to secretly make a withdrawal
from their bank account in order to pay a parking ticket. Martin finds
out about the secret withdrawal, and gets even by going on a wild shopping
spree.

Go Tell It on the Martin
Martin celebrates Christmas, Hanukkah, and Kwanzaa on his cable show. Then a sociopath in a Santa outfit threatens to blow up the station.
3-14
Express Yourself
Gina gets hired
by Martin's production company. She must make drastic improvements in Martin's
show "Word on the Street". Martin is distressed over the changes and Gina
ends up regretting it too. Because she she ends up changing Martin's personality
as well.
3-15
Sophisticated Ladies
Gina and Pam put
their best feet forward to be accepted into an exclusive women's club -
but then Sheneneh and Laquita show up and turn their dreams into a fiasco.
3-16
Ain't Nuttin' Goin' on But the Rent
Martin is angry
with his landlord, so he refuses to pay the rent. This leads the landlord
to cut off the heat during a blizzard.
3-17
The Ex-Files
After an argument,
Martin and Gina go to dinner with their former romantic lovers to prove
that there are no sparks left for their old flames.

All the Players Came
To save a local
movie theater from closing down, Martin holds a benefit show featuring
Black tv and movie actors from the 1970s. But Jerome shows up and turns
it into a player of players contest! Cameos include Pam Grier, Ja'net
Du Bois, Dick Anthony Williams, Whitman Mayo, Rudy Ray Moore, Antonio Fargas,
and Nathaniel Taylor.

Best and Bester
Martin must choose
which of his two best friends, Tommy or Cole, will be the best man at his
wedding. Meanwhile, Pam and Gina search for a bridesmaid's dress.

High Noon
When a criminal
that Martin helped put away gets out on parole, Martin hides out. Have
all his friends deserted him? The criminal is played by Gary Coleman.
3-21
Mother of the Bride
Mrs. Waters hires
a high class wedding planner who promises to arrange the day of Gina's
dreams. But Martin wants to seek out a more economical alternative. So
he hires his own consultant -- Hustle Man!
3-22
Cream
Gina and Martin
bite off more than they can chew when they invest all their bread in a
restaurant that becomes more popular than they anticipated. Rap artist
Hammer has a cameo.
3-23
Girlfriend
Gina's conceited
college friend comes to town. She is so offensive, that Martin and Pam
call a truce in their never ending fights and team up to expose her lurid
past. Then martin gets her to show up on his tv talk show, and he exposes
her to all Detroit!
3-24
The Romantic Weekend
Tommy is flying
Pam to the beach. Gina is envious, and asks Martin why they never do anything
special. So Martin takes Gina on a vacation to Chilligan's Island,
a resort that's advertised on the back of a cereal box. But it turns out
to be a real dive. Don't miss the giant rodent fight!

The Bachelor Party
A nervous Martin
and Gina try to enjoy their respective bachelor parties, but instead find
themselves imagining married life five years down the road.

The Wedding Bell Blues (1)
Martin and Gina
make final preparations for their wedding. But bickering between Martin's
wacky relatives and Gina's conservative family spoils eveything. At the
last minute they decide to elope. Mama Payne is furious, and throws a fit
in the chapel. Part 1 of 2.
3-27 Love is a Beach (2)
Conclusion. Martin
and Gina fly down to the Bahamas to escape family bickering. A dramatic
and flawless oceanside wedding takes place. Singer Babyface has
a cameo. |
